About this tool

FATF Recommendation 16 (the Travel Rule) requires financial institutions and VASPs to pass originator and beneficiary information with cross-border transfers above threshold. Key regulatory implementations covered:

US FinCEN: 31 CFR 1010.410 — USD 3,000 for banks, USD 3,000 for VASPs (FinCEN NPRM 2020, effective 2023). Wire transfers: USD 3,000 threshold. EU TFR: Regulation 2023/1113 — EUR 1,000 threshold for wire transfers; zero threshold for crypto (VASPs). UK: MLR 2017 Reg. 57 — GBP 1,000 threshold. SG MAS: PSN02 — SGD 1,500 threshold. CH FINMA: AMLO Art. 10 — CHF 1,000 threshold.
