What is this?

The Fraud Score Simulator demonstrates how a rule-based fraud detection engine evaluates A2A payment transactions. Every scoring decision is fully transparent — you can inspect, modify, and understand each contributing factor.

How the scoring works

Each transaction starts with a base score of 0. Rules are evaluated sequentially, and matching rules add points toward a maximum score of 100. Rules can be configured via the "Configure Rule Weights" panel.

  • 0–30: Low risk — payment is likely legitimate
  • 31–60: Medium risk — enhanced review recommended
  • 61–100: High risk — decline or hold for investigation

Important caveats

This is a simplified educational model. Production fraud systems use hundreds of signals, behavioral biometrics, graph analytics, and machine learning. This tool illustrates the conceptual framework, not a production-grade implementation.
